Pokémon GO February 2026 Events: Flamigo Carnival, Valentine’s Day & Tour de Kalos

Pokémon GO trainers have a busy February ahead, with a series of events kicking off today, . The month is highlighted by the debut of Flamigo, a new Pokémon, alongside several other events and bonuses designed to keep players engaged.

Flamingo Takes Flight: The Carnival of Flamigo Event

The first major event is the Carnival of Flamigo, running from to . This event marks the official introduction of Flamigo, the “Synchronize Pokémon,” to the game. Players can look forward to increased spawns of Lotad, Buneary, Pikipek, Spritzee, and of course, Flamigo itself. Shiny versions of Lotad, Spritzee, and Pikipek will also be more readily available during the event.

Alongside the new Pokémon, the Carnival of Flamigo offers several in-game bonuses. Incense and Daily Adventure Incense will have double their usual duration. Catching Flamigo will reward players with an additional 500 Stardust.

Research and Challenges

The Carnival of Flamigo isn’t just about catching Pokémon; it also features a robust set of research tasks. Players can participate in Field Research, Collection Challenges, and both free and paid Timed Research. Completing the free Timed Research will yield rewards including two Incense, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. A paid Timed Research option, available for $4.99 (or the equivalent in local currency), offers a Star Piece, an event-themed avatar pose, and additional Pokémon encounters.

Beyond the Carnival: A February Full of Pokémon GO Events

The Carnival of Flamigo is just the beginning of a packed February schedule. will see the “Objective Catch Oricorio” event, where Oricorio will appear more frequently, and players will receive increased experience and candy for catching Pokémon.

Valentine’s Day celebrations are also planned, running from to . During this time, players will earn double experience for catching Pokémon and double Stardust when opening gifts. Shiny Nidoran♂ and Nidoran♀ will also be more common, and a global challenge will unlock additional bonuses, including rare candies in gifts.

The Lunar New Year will be celebrated from to , with increased chances of finding Lucky Pokémon, golden PokéStops, and shiny Blitzle, Darumaka, and Gimmighoul.

Preparing for the Tour: Kalos Event

From to , the “Road to Kalos” event will prepare players for the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour. Each day will feature Pokémon from the first five generations appearing more frequently, alongside special Legendary Pokémon in raids.

The highlight of the month is the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos, taking place on and . This event will focus entirely on Pokémon from the Kalos region (Pokémon X and Y). The Tour will also feature a special research task offering encounters with either Xerneas or Yveltal, depending on the path chosen. Eggs will hatch in half the usual distance, adding another incentive for players to explore.

Additional February Activities

Throughout February, players can also participate in Raid Days, Mega Raids, and special Research tasks. Raid Days will feature Dialga and Palkia, while Mega Raids will include Mega Pidgeot, Mega Sableye, and Mega Absol. Weekly Research tasks will offer the chance to encounter Dreepy, Honedge, Lapras, Galarian Mr. Mime, Sinistea, and Snorlax.

The month also includes weekly Spotlight Hours, offering increased spawns and bonuses for specific Pokémon, and Dynamax Adventures, featuring Wailmer, Growlithe, Machop, and Chansey.
