Mario Ho Wins Celebrity Poker Tour Again
Maria Ho has won the Celebrity Poker Tour Championship for the second time. The event took place at PokerGO studios, where Ho defeated 59 competitors, including celebrities and athletes. She earned $50,000, which is $10,000 more than her previous win in March. Ho received a trophy, a wrestling belt, and congratulations from participants.
Poker Officially Recognized as a Mind Sport
Poker is now officially recognized as a “mind sport” by the International Mind Sports Association (IMPA). This recognition follows years of advocacy by the World Poker Federation. The announcement occurred in São Paulo during the PokerStars’ BSOP Millions event. The federation celebrated this milestone, marking a significant moment in poker history.
WSOP Circuit Returns to Las Vegas
The WSOP Circuit series is back in Las Vegas from November 21 to December 2. Events include a $400 multi-flight opener with a $100,000 prize pool, a $1,125 Mystery Bounty event, a $300 Ladies Event, and a $2,200 high roller event. The Main Event starts on November 29 with a $1,700 buy-in and a $500,000 guarantee. Satellites for these events are currently running.
The final WSOP Circuit series of 2024 will take place at Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina from November 28 to December 9.
