Police Appeal: Man Found Dead in Armagh

A 39-year-old man is currently being held by police in connection with the death of 40-year-old Christopher Burns, known as ‘Chrissy’, in Cusher Green, Mountnorris, County Armagh. Mr. Burns’ remains were discovered at a property in the area at approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 4, 2025, according to reports.
Investigation Underway
Police report that Mr. Burns,originally from the Warrenpoint area,sustained “serious head and facial injuries.” The 39-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody as detectives continue their questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson expressed condolences, stating that police thoughts are with Mr. Burns’ family and loved ones during this difficult time.He affirmed that investigators are working diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Burns’ death and are appealing for public assistance.
