The Incident and Arrests
A tragic incident unfolded in Guárico State, Venezuela, leading to the arrest of three young men – two brothers aged 21 and 22, and a third individual of the same age – in connection with a double homicide. The victims, who had been reported missing since August 14th, were discovered lifeless the following day.
The crime occurred on a farm located in the El palmarito sector, along the road between Zaraza and Tucupido. Authorities with the Municipal Delegation of Zaraza believe the motive stemmed from a workplace dispute and a desire for revenge.
A Dispute Over Employment
According to police investigations, the three arrested individuals had previously been employed at the farm but were terminated following the loss of two animals under their care.Just fifteen days after being hired, the victims replaced the three men, allegedly fueling resentment. Investigators believe this dismissal served as the catalyst for the violent act.
The evidence suggests a calculated act of retribution. The perpetrators reportedly coerced the victims, initially using a shotgun belonging to the workers themselves. They were then transported to a remote location near the El Cigarrón dam, where they were subjected to further violence with both the firearm and a blunt object, ultimately resulting in their deaths.
Attempted Cover-Up and Ongoing Examination
In an attempt to mislead law enforcement, the perpetrators staged the scene to resemble a robbery. They stole a motorcycle belonging to one of the deceased and abandoned it some distance from the crime scene. A cell phone was also taken and later discarded into a river.Despite these efforts, authorities quickly determined the true nature of the crime.
The case has been handed over to the Public Ministry for prosecution. The investigation continues to gather further evidence and establish a complete account of the events leading up to the murders.
