Police Confront Sherwood Over Snapchat Account

The report alleged that a 14-year-old girl had been involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with Sherwood, who was 18 years old at the time of the incident.

The recovered data established a digital timeline of the relationship. The records indicated that the victim and Sherwood had been friends on the social media platform since July 3, 2024.

Further analysis of the messages revealed that the pair used the app to coordinate the encounter. The victim informed police that she and Sherwood spoke about having sex on Snapchat the day before the alleged incident occurred.

Following the recovery of these records, police confronted Sherwood regarding his Snapchat account. Investigators noted that Sherwood initially denied that they had obtained a correct username.

Investigation Details

The victim was interviewed by police at the UPMC Cole Hospital. During the interview, she stated that she met Sherwood while she was a student at the Coudersport Jr./Sr. High School. She estimated that Sherwood was between 18 and 20 years old at the time they met.

The victim described the relationship as consensual in nature and recounted that Sherwood walked to her house, where she let him in and they subsequently had sex in her living room.
