Crime Prevention Outreach Schedule
The police department has scheduled three distinct consultation sessions across Düsseldorf to provide direct advice to the public. No appointments are required for these events, which officials describe as an open invitation for interested residents to receive guidance on personal security.
The first session, titled "Hotspot Security," is set for Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The police consultation vehicle will be stationed at Schadowplatz, near the P&C department store, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time, officers plan to offer safety assessments for pedestrians, including tips on securing smartphones and protecting against pickpockets. Officers will also provide guidance on managing payment cards to help residents avoid what officials describe as the "PIN trap."
Coffee and Consultation Sessions
Following the initial event, the department will host two "Coffee with Crime Prevention" sessions in the Bilk and Benrath districts. These meetings are intended to facilitate informal discussions regarding current fraud schemes and protective measures.
- Bilk: Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Friedensplätzchen, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Benrath: Thursday, October 1, 2026, on the Hauptstraße in front of St. Cäcilia Church, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
