Tensions Rise in Polish Government as President Nawrocki Clashes with Cabinet
Warsaw, Poland - A palpable tension is gripping the Polish government as President Karol NawrockiS recent actions have drawn sharp criticism from Prime Minister Donald Tusk and several cabinet ministers. A cabinet council convened on Wednesday morning served as the latest stage for the growing discord.
During the meeting, President nawrocki reportedly called for ministers to “update their 100 specifics” and accused the government of ”chaos” in its work. Prime Minister Tusk responded firmly, stating that “the cabinet council is not a substitute for the government, it is not a discussion club.” Despite the visible political differences, Tusk emphasized his desire to find “joint fields of action” with President Nawrocki.
The President’s recent vetoes have become a major point of contention. Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk,a member of the cabinet,questioned Nawrocki’s motives regarding the Act on plant protection products,asking why a self-proclaimed “village representative” would burden rural areas with additional administrative duties.
