The Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) has established a strategic partnership with the cryptocurrency trading platform zondacrypto, introducing a novel funding mechanism for athletes through the issuance of the Team PL (TMPL) token.
The collaboration, announced on October 22, 2025, during a press conference in Monaco, positions zondacrypto as the General Sponsor of both the Polish Olympic Committee and the Polish Olympic Team. The agreement is set to remain in effect from 2026 through 2028, covering all appearances up to the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics, and includes the Youth National Team.
The TMPL Token and Athlete Funding
Central to this partnership is the launch of the Team PL (TMPL) token, described as the first Olympic token in the world. The token was scheduled for premiere in February 2026, shortly before the start of the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The TMPL token is designed to serve as a transparent funding source for Olympic sports. According to the partnership details, the token allows fans to provide direct support to the Polish team and individual athletes. This financial support is intended to assist athletes throughout various stages of their careers, including during parental leave or maternity leave, and to provide support after an athlete’s professional career has ended.
the token is utilized to distribute performance-based bonuses. Polish athletes who secured medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics received a portion of their bonuses in cryptocurrency as part of this record sponsorship deal.
Milano Cortina 2026 Rewards
Following the conclusion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, zondacrypto released a summary of the TMPL rewards distribution on February 24, 2026. The rewards were allocated to Polish Olympians who finished in the top eight positions.

The largest portion of TMPL tokens was awarded to the medalists. A notable recipient was ski jumper Kacper Tomasiak, who emerged as a standout performer of the Games by earning three medals: two silver and one bronze.
Corporate and Institutional Impact
The partnership extends beyond financial rewards for athletes to include institutional branding. As part of the agreement, the headquarters of the Polish Olympic Committee will be renamed, and a neon sign reading zondacrypto Olympic Center PKOI
will be installed on the building.
Zondacrypto, a Polish-based platform operating with an Estonian license, now serves as the Official Crypto Exchange for the organization. While the strategic partnership aims to revolutionize sports financing, the announcement coincided with a period of scrutiny for the Polish Olympic Committee. On October 15, 2025, officials from the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) entered the POC headquarters to investigate the spending of funds under the leadership of Radosław Piesiewicz.
The financial terms of the specific cooperation between zondacrypto and the Polish Olympic Committee have not been disclosed by either party.
