Pope Francis Expresses Concern Over Lebanon Conflict

Pope Francis has expressed deep concern and sadness over the escalating conflict in Lebanon, urging the international community to intervene and restore peace in the region.

During his weekly public address in St Peter’s Square, the Pope shared his sorrow over the devastating news from Lebanon, where heavy bombing has resulted in loss of life and widespread destruction.

The Pope emphasized that any actions that escalate the conflict are unacceptable and that the ongoing atrocities must be brought to an end. He expressed his solidarity with the Lebanese people, who have suffered greatly in recent days.

In addition to Lebanon, the Pope also prayed for those affected by the war in Ukraine and the victims of a mine explosion in Iran. He called on the global community to pray for all those suffering from conflicts around the world, including in Ukraine, Myanmar, Palestine, Israel, and Sudan.

The Pope reiterated the importance of praying for peace, emphasizing that it is essential to remember those who are suffering and to work towards a more peaceful world.
