The “Popeye’s To Go” concept is designed to cater to the growing demand for quick and convenient meal options. Restaurant Holding Company (RHC), the franchisee responsible for the rollout, is offering three purchasing alternatives:
- Conventional Service Cart: Standard counter service.
- Pickup Area: For customers who have ordered ahead for takeout.
- third-Party Delivery: Integration with delivery platforms for convenient delivery options.
This innovative format spans approximately 1,190 square feet and employs around 30 people. The focus is on providing a fast and efficient dining solution without compromising on quality.
RHC’s Expansion strategy
RHC became a Popeye’s franchisee in Puerto Rico in 2022. The “To Go” concept is a key part of their strategy to expand Popeye’s presence across the island. According to Fernando Oliver, CEO of RHC, this new format allows for ”more quickly” expansion and reaching “every corner of the island with ease and financial awareness.”
Recent Popeye’s Expansion in Puerto Rico
Along with the “To Go” location, Popeye’s recently opened a new restaurant within the Food Court of the San Juan Medical Center. This location serves the needs of hospital staff, patients, families, and visitors. RHC also modernized a Burger king location within the same food court, as they are franchisees for both brands.
