Failed Transfer Details
According to Portuguese newspaper “Apola”, the transfer deal had been agreed upon for €50 million, but Al-Ittihad pulled out at the last minute in favor of signing Dutch Ajax winger Steven Bergwijn for a significantly lower fee of €25 million.
Al-Ittihad has since completed the signing of Bergwijn, as well as French defender Danilo Pereira from Paris Saint-Germain.
