Powering the Future: LG Chem Partners with Toyota-Panasonic to Revolutionize Electric Vehicle Batteries by 2026

LG Chem to Supply Cathode Materials‌ to Toyota-Panasonic Joint ​Venture

LG Chem has ⁤announced that it will supply cathode materials to Prime Planet⁣ Energy & Solutions (PPES), a joint venture between Toyota Motor ​Company Japan and Panasonic Holdings.

PPES is a leading ⁤battery manufacturer in Japan, supplying batteries for electric ⁣vehicles to many global ⁤OEMs, including Toyota Motor Company.

As part ⁣of its global expansion ⁤strategy, LG Chem has secured a new customer in Japanese PPES, with plans to supply cathode materials to their factories by 2026.

LG Chem, a leader in cathode materials for electric vehicles, supplies cathode materials to many global OEM electric vehicle models.

In line with PPES’s low-carbon vision, LG Chem will focus on developing innovative​ materials and process technologies that produce high-performance batteries while minimizing environmental⁣ impact.

LG Chem Vice ‌Chairman Shin Hak-cheol stated, “We are significant in supplying cathode materials to PPES’s next-generation battery project, a global leader. We will⁤ continue to‍ cooperate globally on a differentiated ⁤basis with LG Chem’s product and process technology and​ supply chain competitiveness.”
