Prabowo Subianto Criticizes South Aceh Regent for umrah Trip During Disaster
president prabowo Subianto addressed the situation of Regent of South Aceh, Mirwan MS, who undertook an Umrah pilgrimage while his region was experiencing a disaster. he instructed Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian to take action.
Prabowo stated, “if you want to run, it’s okay to just run. If you can remove the Minister of Home Affairs,you can process it.” He compared the situation to soldiers deserting their posts, deeming it unacceptable.
The Regent left his disaster-stricken area to perform Umrah. An inspection team from the Ministry of Home Affairs has rescheduled its examination of Mirwan MS.
Prabowo also expressed gratitude to regional heads who remained dedicated to assisting their communities during the crisis, stating, “Thank you regents, those of you who continue to fight for the people, you were indeed chosen to face difficulties.”
