Prabowo Fires Wamenaker Immanuel Ebenezer

Indonesian Deputy Minister of Manpower dismissed Amidst Corruption Examination
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has terminated the employment of Immanuel Ebenezer, also known as Noel, as Deputy minister of Manpower. this action follows the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) naming Noel as a suspect in an extortion case related to the management of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certificates.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the dismissal, stating it was a direct response to the ongoing investigation. The President signed a Presidential Decree enacting the removal from office.
Extensive Investigation and Multiple Suspects
The KPK has identified a total of eleven suspects in this case,including Noel. Other individuals implicated include Irvian Bobby Mahendro, Gerry Adita Herwanto Putra, Subhan, Anitasari Kusumawati, Fahrurozi, Hery Sutanto, Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Supriadi, Temurila, and Miki Mahfud from PT Kem Indonesia. The charges relate to alleged corruption in the issuance of K3 certificates.
the suspects are accused of violating articles 12 letter (e) and/or 12B of Law No.31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, in conjunction with other relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
All eleven suspects are currently in KPK detention for an initial period of 20 days, commencing on August 22nd and concluding on September 10th, 2025.
