regarding the Task Force, Prabowo emphasized that the recovery of state finances exceeding Rp6.6 trillion represents the initial commitment of the government to eradicate corruption and the plundering of state assets that has occurred for decades.
“I think this can be said to be just the beginning of the losses to our nation and state, just the beginning. This kind of deviation has been going on for dozens of years,” Prabowo said during his speech at the presentation of the Task Force’s achievement report and the recovery of state finances in 2025, held at the Main Building of the Republic of Indonesia Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
“Don’t hesitate, be impartial, don’t be swayed by lobbying here and there, enforce regulations, save state assets, that’s my task. And you have done well, in an orderly manner, in accordance with the provisions, in accordance with the law,” he continued.
Prabowo further stated that the value of state losses recovered so far is not comparable to the potential actual losses.
“What I’m saying is just the tip of the iceberg. In reality, if we study it, our losses are very, very large. If I’m not mistaken, if we examine it carefully, the penalties could amount to hundreds of trillions of rupiah that must be paid,” Prabowo said.
In his speech, Prabowo also emphasized that the state cannot continue to experience leaks of wealth. The government is determined to continue the struggle to save state assets.
“We will continue to work for the people, and the people will feel and see what we are doing. We will save state assets without hesitation,” he said.
