Gerindra Party Sees Leadership Shift: Muzani Steps Down as Secretary General After 17 Years
Jakarta – The Gerindra Party is undergoing a significant leadership transition, with the long-serving Secretary General, Ahmad Muzani, stepping down from his influential role after 17 years.This decision, effective from the date of signing, marks a new chapter for the party, as Sugiono is set to assume the position of Secretary General.
A New Era for Gerindra’s Secretariat
The change in leadership was confirmed by Muzani himself, who stated, “Since the establishment of the party from 6 February 2008 to August 1, 2025 has been replaced by Sugiono.” This proclamation signals a planned succession and a continuation of the party’s organizational advancement.
Muzani’s Gratitude and Future Role
Muzani expressed his profound gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Chairperson/Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and all Gerindra Party cadres during his tenure. He acknowledged the responsibilities he carried and offered an apology for any shortcomings.
“I apologize if during the department as a party party to the fault, confusion, and negligence that has led to the disrespect for friends,” he shared, reflecting a humble approach to his departure from the Secretary general role.

“Muzani added, then he would occupy the position of Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Honorary Council.”
