Housing Distribution and Project Details

2,000 Type 45 Homes: These homes are designated for the general public and will be distributed based on the population size of each district. This ensures equitable access to improved housing across the province.
200 Units for Tribal Chiefs: Recognizing the vital role of traditional leadership in Highland Papua, 200 units are specifically allocated for tribal chiefs within the eight targeted districts. This demonstrates respect for indigenous culture and empowers community leaders.
The eight districts set to benefit from this initiative are Jayawijaya, Lanny Jaya, Tolikara, Yalimo, Central mamberamo, Nduga, Bintang Mountains, and Yahukimo. Development proposals from these districts are currently under review by the central government to ensure efficient and effective implementation.

Sirait previously stated the importance of evenly distributing subsidized housing throughout Indonesia, ensuring that all citizens have access to decent living conditions. This project in Highland Papua is a concrete example of that commitment in action. This investment in housing is expected to have a ripple effect, improving public health, boosting local economies, and fostering a stronger sense of community within Highland Papua.the provision of safe and sanitary housing is a foundational step towards sustainable development and improved quality of life for the province’s residents.
