Prabowo witnesses handover of Rp 13.2 trillion recovered by Satgas PKH

Stacked high in transparent plastic wrapping at the Kejaksaan Agung office in Jakarta on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, a massive pile of 100,000-rupiah banknotes totaled Rp 13.241.335.681.910,13. The physical cash, disusun membentuk semacam piramida tiga sisi, represents a combined haul of administrative fines, special crime non-tax state revenue, and tax payments recovered by the Satuan Tugas Penertiban Kawasan Hutan (Satgas PKH). The Breakdown of the Rp 13,2 Trillion Recovery

The Rp 13,2 trillion sum stems from three distinct enforcement channels managed by the government task force. Forestry administrative fines account for Rp 3.475.738.523.741,13 of the total, while non-tax state revenue managed through the Attorney General’s Office special crime division contributes Rp 1.535.750.234.271,00. The largest individual share comes from tax collections on taxpayers processed via Satgas PKH follow-up actions, totaling Rp 8.229.846.923.898,00.

Alongside the cash pile, the task force returned 259.230,73 hectares of forest and land assets to state control during this eighth phase of recovery. This includes 140.762,04 hectares of plantation land designated for management by PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, 118.256,74 hectares of conservation and protected forests slated for reforestation by the Ministry of Forestry, and 211,95 hectares of mining sector land.

Satgas PKH Repossesses Millions of Hectares of Land

Cumulative forest areas repossessed by Satgas PKH since its formation in February 2025 reached 6.220.845,93 hectares by Oct. 6, 2026, comprising 6.206.212,14 hectares across plantation sectors and 14.633,79 hectares in mining zones. President Prabowo noted during the event that total asset and land valuations tied to the task force’s interventions reach up to Rp 400 trillion, emphasizing that the recovered wealth is earmarked to build schools, houses, and agricultural infrastructure.

Expanding the scope of enforcement beyond domestic borders, Wakil Ketua 1 Pengarah Satgas PKH Sanitiar Burhanuddin stated that authorities intend to target illegal proceeds hidden overseas. The Attorney General stressed that investigators will pursue the flow of benefits and criminal proceeds shifted or placed outside Indonesia, framing the operation as a fulfillment of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution regarding state control over natural resources.

Addressing the gathering at the Attorney General’s Office, President Prabowo spoke frankly about persistent corruption and institutional decay. The president acknowledged the country remains in a fragile state after decades of damage to national institutions, revealing that individuals have repeatedly attempted to bribe him over the past two years.
