Capcom’s long-awaited and somewhat mysterious new game, Pragmata, made a reappearance at Summer game Fest, revealing a new release target and additional details about the sci-fi adventure. After a lengthy period of silence, the unveiling confirms that Pragmata is indeed in active development.
Players will assume the role of an astronaut who encounters alien beings, including a young girl known as DI0367, whom the astronaut renames Diana. Despite her size,Diana possesses unique abilities, including magic-techno-hacking powers, which she uses to aid the astronaut in their fight against robot-alien creatures attempting to “neutralize” them.
The trailer hints that the game’s setting is on the moon. Capcom initially revealed Pragmata in 2020, showcasing an astronaut, a young girl, and striking visuals, but offered little insight into the game’s premise. Originally scheduled for release in 2022, it was later pushed to 2023 and then indefinitely delayed. The recent re-emergence suggests significant progress in development, with a planned release in 2026.
