Ongoing Reconstruction Impacts Service
Passengers on Prague’s Metro line B should anticipate continued weekend service disruptions between Florenc and Vysočanská stations. these closures, necessary for track work related to the reconstruction of the Českomoravská station, will now extend into the first quarter of 2026.
The reconstruction project began on January 6, 2025, with an initial estimated completion date of the end of 2025. However, unexpected deterioration of supporting structures at Českomoravská station necessitated additional weekend shutdowns and a revised timeline.
Alternative Transportation Options
During the weekend closures, replacement tram service XB will operate between Florenc and Vysočanská stations, following the route Florenc - Křižíkova - Invalidovna - Palmovka – Balabenka – Gong Theater – Nádraží Vysočany – Vysočanská. Tram line 12 also provides an alternative route. Additionally,trams 3 and 8 offer service between Florenc and Palmovka stations,though route 31 will experience modifications during the shutdown period.
Between vysočanská and Černý Most stations, metro service will be limited to a single track due to the lack of turning tracks in that section.
Enhanced Service for O2 Arena Events
The transport company is providing enhanced service for events at the O2 Arena. On Sunday, November 2, 2025, trams will depart from Florenc metro station every three minutes. Reinforced bus line 152 will serve fans traveling from Vysočanská metro station with a cumulative interval of 7.5 minutes.
