The shocking atrocities of the founder of the major Philippine church group ‘The Kingdom of Jesus Christ’, which sexually exploited hundreds of women and minors, have been revealed.
According to PNA news agency on the 24th, a hearing on the crimes of Apollo Quiboloy (74) was held in the Philippine Senate the day before. At the hearing on this day, victims and investigators were present and testified about his brutal crime methods.
Quiboloy, who founded the church in Davao City, Mindanao Island in 1985, has expanded his influence through broadcasting and social media, and currently claims to have 7 million believers in 200 countries around the world.
Davao City Police Chief Hansel Maratan said, “Quiboloi distorted the story of King Solomon in the Bible and aimed to secure 1,000 women. At least 200 women were harmed, and 68 of them suffered continuous sexual exploitation.”
The victims testified that Quiboloy forced them to have sex in the name of ‘night work’ and forced them to obey, saying that it was ‘God’s will.’ The Ukrainian victim revealed that the sexual assault was justified by distorting verses from the Bible in Russian.
In particular, there was evidence that he ran a vigilante group called ‘Angel of Death’ and had killed or threatened those who opposed him. One witness testified that “the angels of death were willing to kill to prove their loyalty to the ‘Son of God.’
Quiboloy was arrested by the Philippine military and police last month, and federal prosecutors in Los Angeles have also indicted him on charges of child prostitution and money laundering. A trial is currently underway in the Philippines, and if he is not found guilty, there is a possibility that he will be extradited to the United States.
Quiboloy, who appeared at the hearing that day, completely denied all charges.
