Pregnant Woman Shot in San Francisco‘s Bayview Neighborhood

A pregnant woman was shot on Tuesday afternoon in the Bayview district of San Francisco. Fire officials reported that she was able to call 911 herself. Her condition and that of her unborn child are currently unknown. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

San Francisco police are actively searching for the suspect, who remains at large.

Neighbors were startled by the incident. One neighbor, Angelina Raygoza, was putting her 4-month-old son down for a nap when she heard the gunshot. She expressed her shock, stating she did not think the sound was close until police stopped right in front of their house. Her partner, AJ Alvarez, shared similar feelings of distress, noting that the shooting occurred just four houses down from where they live.

Aerial footage from the scene showed multiple police cars and crime scene tape blocking off the intersection. This violence has left the community shaken and concerned for their safety.
