Cinema enthusiasts now have a new way to preview upcoming movies. The Preshow Theater app, initially launched for Apple Vision Pro,is now available for iPhone and iPad. The free app showcases the latest movie trailers, allowing users to view a random sequence with a single tap. The app also supports AirPlay for big-screen viewing.
Additional features include picture-in-picture mode and notifications for new releases. Users can discover films they want to see in theaters or wait for them to appear on streaming platforms.
Netflix Price Increase Looms Amid Digital tax Discussions
Subscription costs for streaming services, including Netflix, could rise due to potential digital taxes. The United Kingdom is reportedly considering a special tax for streaming services. If implemented, and if other European countries follow suit, these costs could be passed on to consumers.
A levy of 5% of the subscription price is under consideration. Industry analysts suggest that Netflix and similar services are unlikely to absorb these taxes and will instead transfer the burden to subscribers.
Revenue generated from these digital taxes would perhaps support the domestic film industry, wich saw a decrease in production spending of approximately 25% last year.
