IEEE Announces Candidates for 2027 President-Elect Election

Teh IEEE Board of Directors ⁣has confirmed Gerardo Barbosa, IEEE Senior Member, and Timothy T. lee, ‌IEEE Life Senior ​Member, as candidates intending ‍to petition for the 2027 IEEE president-elect position. The ‌candidates are listed alphabetically and have expressed no preference‌ regarding order.

The elected president-elect will assume the role of IEEE president in 2028. Details about both petitioning candidates and ​those nominated by ​the Board​ are available at ieee.org/pe27. IEEE members can ⁢sign petitions at ieee.org/petition.

The deadline for submitting signatures for candidate​ petitions is April 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. EST / 16:00 p.m. UTC.
