Champions Honored: President Erdoğan Welcomes Home Turkey’s Winning Athletes and Brave Soldiers

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received some of the athletes who won the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the soldiers who won the “8th European Best Sniper Team Competition”.

Before the August 30 Victory Day Special Concert held at the Presidential Complex yesterday, Erdoğan met with some of the athletes who won medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the event organized by the US Ground Forces Europe and Africa Command in the Germany on August 4- 12, from 19 countries and 36 teams. He met soldiers from the Land Forces Command, which was the champion, and the Special Forces Command, which came second in the “8th Best European Sniper Team Competition” in which he took part. Erdoğan chatted with the athletes, soldiers and their coaches for a while.

The President’s Private Secretary, Ambassador Hasan Doğan, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun and the President’s Chief Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç also attended the meeting.
