Health Minister‌ Qiu Taiyuan Attends Event, Discusses Net-Zero ⁤Carbon Reduction

Taiwan Health and Welfare Minister Qiu Taiyuan attended an event today and‍ noted that the President “called and scolded Environment ⁣Minister Peng Kiming” for promoting ⁢net-zero carbon reduction⁢ at the hospital in Lai‍ Ching.

Qiu Taiyuan explained that he and Peng Qiming are good friends, there is no bad communication, and they will continue ​to help medical ‍institutions save energy.

Minister ⁣Qiu Taiyuan Clarifies President’s Concerns and Support for ⁤Medical Community

Qiu Taiyuan later ‌held a media interview and explained that he expressed President and Executive‌ Yuan’s ⁣concern and support for the ​medical community.

The association’s chairman ​Hong Jiren⁣ mentioned the responsibility of medical net-zero ​carbon reduction institutions during the meeting, so he exemplified “Basically,⁢ I‌ emphasized above that the president and the administration take care of the medical system.”

Qiu Taiyuan said that​ he and Peng Qiming are very good friends, they often⁤ sit in hospital meetings with other friends to promote net-zero carbon reduction ‌and⁢ healthy cities, even whisper discussions, there ‌can be no bad communication with the Ministry⁣ of Environment.

Qiu Taiyuan pointed out that the Ministry ⁢of Environment and the Ministry of Health and Welfare jointly organized a large-scale event ‌in hopes​ of promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction in medical institutions.

Agreement Reached to Assist Hospitals in Net-Zero Transformation

Qiu⁤ Taiyuan ⁢noted that an agreement has been reached with ⁣the Ministry of Environment to⁢ assist hospitals in their net-zero transformation and⁣ help relevant companies replace hospitals as‍ carbon fees are reserved, part of ​which can be given to hospitals and ⁣part of which ⁢can be ⁤given ⁢to hospitals that support companies.

New Appointment‌ to Central Health Insurance Agency

Li Chenghua, deputy director of the Central Health Insurance Agency of⁢ the Ministry of Health and Welfare, retired on July 16. The position‌ had been vacant until now, confirming that he would be replaced by Chen Liangyu, director of‍ the Department of Mental Health.

Qiu Taiyuan said that Chen Liangyu was recognized as the youngest winner of the Jinglin Prize and is considered an elite person in the medical field.
