Creating a New Series Based on a Classic
Launching a new series based on a nostalgic work that has not had a sequel announced for a long time can be a risk. However, in 1988, “The Little Prince goes to New York” proved that it’s possible to create a successful sequel. Now, more than 30 years have passed since this sequel, Eddie Murphy returns to the role of Akeem, the prince (now king) of Zamunda, and shows how a new series based on a classic can be created.
The director is Craig Brewer, known for “Hustle & Flow”. Arkim returns to the United States to search for his missing son, and viewers are reunited with familiar faces from the previous film. However, before that, an American character is sent to Zamunda, and the composition is reversed from the previous work. With a script that is sharper, smarter, and more globally conscious than the previous work, “The Little Prince Goes to New York 2” is a comedy movie that lives up to the reputation of its predecessor.
“13 Lives”
Director Ron Howard’s latest film “13 Lives” is based on the 2018 Tham Luang cave disaster, with a top-notch cast including Viggo Mortensen, Colin Firth, and Joel Edgerton. This is the incident in which the children of the junior soccer team and their assistant coach were trapped in a submerged cave and rescued.
As international efforts move forward to save the children, danger grows in the kilometers of underwater caves. Howard does a great job of recreating each dangerous and confining moment. Skillful underwater scenes and a thrilling sense of urgency convey memories of one of the most difficult rescue operations in history.
“The Report”

Made by Amazon, “The Report” depicts the U.S. Senate investigation into the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) “enhanced interrogation” program. How did this program come about and who knew about it? It also shows how the CIA distorted facts to justify its effects.
The main character, Daniel Jones, played by Adam Driver, continues his lonely journey toward the truth, battling political resistance and interference from the CIA. Adam Driver’s acting has been great lately, and this film is no exception. It’s no wonder it has a high rating of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, an American review site known for its harsh reviews.
