Prime Video Announces Worldwide Premiere Date for Lukkhe

Prime Video has established a worldwide premiere date for Lukkhe, an eight-episode musical action drama. The series is set against the backdrop of rap culture and street rivalries in Chandigarh.

The production is directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl. The series was developed under Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP.

Plot and Narrative Themes

The narrative of Lukkhe follows the feud between two competing MCs, known as MC Badnaam and OG. Their rivalry serves as a central axis for a story that explores themes of ambition, revenge, and coming-of-age.

In addition to the musical rivalry, the plot involves a young sportsman who infiltrates the rap music scene in Punjab. His objective is to investigate a drug syndicate, a mission that leads to internal conflict involving brotherhood, family, guilt, and love.

The central premise of the series is captured in the Hindi tagline Rap aur Badla, Dono Loud Hai, which translates to rap and revenge are both loud.

Cast and Acting Debuts

The series marks the acting debut of rapper-songwriter King. He stars alongside Raashii Khanna and Palak Tiwari.

Shivankit Parihar portrays the rival rapper OG. The ensemble cast also includes Lakshvir Singh Saran, Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bharadwaj, Yograj Singh, and Ayesha Raza Mishra.

Production and Development

Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha served as the creators and executive producers for the series.

The project is part of a larger content slate for Prime Video in 2026, which includes the announcement of 55 new shows, movies, and regional content.
