The cancellation ‍of “Butterfly,” ‍despite a strong Rotten Tomatoes ⁤score, highlights the complex factors influencing renewal decisions at streaming services. Viewership numbers, production costs, and overall strategic alignment with the platform’s content goals all play a role.⁤ The continued investment in the “The Boys” universe, though, ⁣signals prime Video’s confidence in that franchise’s potential. The success of “Squid Game” and “Money Heist: Korea” demonstrates a growing appetite ‍for Korean ‍content, but even critically well-received shows aren’t guaranteed a‌ second season ‌in the crowded streaming market.
