As 2022, the Wales family has resided primarily at Adelaide Cottage, near Windsor Castle in Berkshire.
However,Prince William (43) and Duchess Kate (43),along with their three children, are now actively preparing to move.
Their destination is Forest Lodge,a historic building dating back to the 1790s,located within windsor Great Park.
This royal move has unfortunately impacted local residents.
Multiple media outlets, including Daily Mail and People, report that two families were asked to leave their homes earlier this summer, as they were situated close to the couple’s future residence.
The families reportedly received the news with dismay and were required to pack their belongings.
The Daily Mail reports the reason was the proximity of the houses to the royal residence, with officials deeming it undesirable to have private tenants so close by when William and Kate occupy Forest Lodge.
– Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they do not want anyone to live there when the royals move in, a source told the newspaper.
People reports that no formal eviction orders were issued, and the tenants have been relocated to comparable or improved accommodations within Windsor Great Park, which is managed by the Crown Estate.
Security measures are currently being implemented in and around Forest Lodge to protect the future King and Queen.
