Priority Health, Virta Health Partner to Tackle Diabetes, Weight Loss
Priority Health, a Michigan-based health plan serving 1.3 million members, is collaborating with Virta Health to provide employers with thorough weight management and diabetes support. the partnership aims to address the growing prevalence of thes conditions through personalized programs.
Virta Health, headquartered in Denver, offers digital health solutions, including nutrition therapy and medication management. Their approach involves tailoring care plans to individual needs, considering medical history, goals, and risk factors. this focus on personalized care aligns with priority Health’s commitment to member well-being.
Through this collaboration, Priority health’s employer clients gain access to three Virta Health programs: Sustainable Weight Loss, Sustainable Weight Loss with Responsible Prescribing (including GLP-1s), and Diabetes Reversal. The GLP-1 drugs are prescribed by Virta clinicians alongside nutrition and lifestyle support.
