Pro Surfer Tia Blanco Shows Off Surfing Skills at Eight Months Pregnant

Former professional surfer Tia Blanco continued surfing into her eighth month of pregnancy, sharing video footage of a session using a fish-style surfboard.

Blanco, a San Clemente, California native originally from Puerto Rico, posted a clip to Instagram showing her active approach to her current pregnancy. In the footage, she utilizes a fish-style board to maintain stability and maneuverability despite her prominent baby bump.

Blanco expressed gratitude for her ability to remain active in the water via her social media caption, stating, "8 months pregnant and still sneaking in some fun little ones. 🤍🏄🏽‍♀️ Feeling so grateful to still be able to surf, move my body, and spend time in the ocean during this season of pregnancy. 🌊 8 more weeks to go!"

The footage drew a reaction from an Olympic surfing silver medalist, who commented on the experience of being in the water during that stage of pregnancy.

Blanco’s History of Water-Based Motherhood

This session follows a pattern of integrating surfing and motherhood. Blanco frequently shares content of herself tandem-surfing with her two-year-old daughter, Honey. According to Surfer, Blanco chose an intimate home water birth when Honey was born in 2023 to maintain her connection to the ocean.

Professional Background and Family Connection to Surfing

Blanco’s skill set is rooted in competitive surfing. She previously appeared on the ABC reality competition series The Ultimate Surfer, which was filmed at the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California, a facility designed by Kelly Slater.

Her husband, Brody Jenner, is also an experienced waterman. Jenner has frequently surfed the manmade waves at the Surf Ranch. The couple, who married in July 2025, are expecting their second child in September 2026.
