Progress Update: Work Completed on Carretero Bridge as Bailey Bridge Dismantling Continues

Work on the Overpass Completed for Today
National Road Authority finished work on the Overpass today. They made progress in dismantling the Bailey Bridge. Tomorrow morning, they will finalize this step and continue repairing the road surface.
The team plans to remove the remaining beams of the metal bridge and begin installing temporary steel plates on the restored joint. If conditions allow, the road should reopen for traffic on Monday, the 25th, at a time yet to be confirmed.
Currently, the crossing remains closed to vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
