Singapore – PropNex executive chairman Ismail Gafoor has launched his new memoir, “I Am Not Good Enough,” with a meaningful commitment to supporting underprivileged children. The book’s launch on July 15 coincided with a generous donation to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF), underscoring Mr. Gafoor’s dedication to corporate social responsibility.
A Journey of Resilience and Giving Back
“I Am Not Good Enough” delves into Mr. Gafoor’s personal journey, sharing childhood stories that have shaped his remarkable career in the property sector. The memoir, published by Focus Publishing, a subsidiary of SPH Media, offers readers an intimate look at the experiences that have defined him.All profits generated from the sales of “I Am Not Good Enough” will be channeled to the STSPMF. this fund plays a crucial role in providing essential pocket money to children from low-income families, ensuring they have the means to cover daily expenses related to their education.
In addition to the book’s proceeds, mr. gafoor made an initial donation of $25,000 to the fund. He presented a mock cheque to mr.Zakir Hussain, ST associate editor and a board trustee of STSPMF, during the launch event. This act of generosity highlights PropNex’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and its alignment with the values of supporting education and opportunity for all.
Leadership Transition at propnex
The launch event also marked a significant leadership transition within PropNex. Mr.gafoor announced his stepping down as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. He will continue to serve PropNex in his capacity as Executive Chairman, providing strategic guidance and leadership. Kelvin Fong, the current deputy chief executive, will assume the role of CEO, poised to lead PropNex into its next phase of growth.
