Post Office Simple Health Insurance Launched
Submission time: 2024-09-25 12:00
The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service Headquarters announced on the 25th that it will start selling ‘Post Office Simple Health Insurance’ from the 27th, which provides various coverages and can be subscribed to by anyone with a past medical history (mild or general) if they are currently healthy.
This insurance not only provides coverage for accidental death in the main contract, but also provides coverage for all treatment processes, including diagnosis of the three major diseases of cancer, brain, and heart, as well as hospitalization and surgery, through 20 special provisions.
By signing up for a special contract, you can receive coverage for hospitalization expenses from the first day of signing up, and hospitalization expenses are also covered in the case of hospitalization in the intensive care unit or visit to the emergency room.
You can sign up for a wide range of ages, from 30 to 80 (based on Type 1 main contract), and you can be covered up to age 100.
Another advantage of this product is that it can be easily subscribed to if there has been no abnormal medical opinion from a doctor within the past 3 months, no history of hospitalization within the past 2 (or 5) years, and no diagnosis, hospitalization, or surgery due to one of the 6 major diseases within the past 5 years.
The six major diseases are cancer, stroke (cerebral hemorrhage/cerebral infarction), myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, heart valve disease, and liver cirrhosis.
If a patient with a mild illness subscribes to both the main contract and special contract, they can receive core coverage for major diseases with an insurance premium of around 55,000 won.
