Provincial Institute of Zoology: Conducting network security training to improve employees’ safety awareness

In order to improve the network literacy, network security awareness and protection skills of all employees in the institute, on September 13, 2024, in accordance with the Implementation Plan for the 11th National Cyber ​​Security Awareness Week in Shaanxi Province in 2024 and the relevant requirements of the Shaanxi Academy of Sciences’ Notice on Organizing and Carrying out Cyber ​​Security Awareness Week Activities, the Shaanxi Institute of Zoology carried out network security training. The training session specially invited Wang Wei, Director of the Network Center and Senior Engineer of the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to give a lecture entitled “Pay attention to information security and improve security awareness”. The meeting was chaired by Wang Jing, Chief of the Scientific Research Management Section of the Shaanxi Institute of Zoology. 57 people from the institute participated in the centralized training.

At the training session, Wang Wei explained from four aspects: an overview of network security, network security at work, network security in life, and what we should do in daily work and life. He explained that we should attach great importance to network security issues, strengthen network security awareness cultivation, and guard against network security risks in work and life.

Through this training, the network security awareness of all employees of the institute has been enhanced, laying the foundation for promoting the network security work of the institute.

In addition, during the Cyber ​​Security Awareness Week, the Shaanxi Institute of Zoology also carried out cyber security publicity work through carousels of cyber security publicity videos, posting cyber security knowledge posters on bulletin boards, online learning of cyber security legal documents and the Ministry of Public Security’s Cyber ​​Security Bureau’s practical guide and cyber security skills for protecting personal information, and participation in the Provincial Institute’s 2024 Cyber ​​Security Week-Cyber ​​Security Knowledge Competition.
