JAKARTA – Sony’s PlayStation plus subscription service is seeing price increases in several regions, including parts of Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Korea. The adjustments affect various subscription tiers, impacting gamers in these markets.
Australia Sees Price Hikes Across All PlayStation Plus Tiers
According to Press Start, Australian PlayStation Plus subscribers will face increased monthly fees. The Essential package sees a rise, with the Extra and Deluxe tiers also experiencing price adjustments.
the new pricing for Australian subscribers is as follows:
- PlayStation Plus Essential: AU$12.95 per month, AU$35.95 per 3 months, or AU$102.95 per 12 months.
- PlayStation Plus Extra: AU$20.95 per month, AU$59.95 per 3 months, or AU$187.95 per 12 months.
- PlayStation Plus Deluxe: AU$23.95 per month, AU$70.95 per 3 months, or AU$214.95 per 12 months.
South Korean PlayStation Plus Prices Also increase
South Korean PlayStation users are also affected by the price changes. The revised subscription costs are:
- PlayStation Plus Essential: 10,800 won per month, 28,400 won per 3 months, or 86,400 won per 12 months.
- PlayStation Plus Extra: 16,200 won per month, 46,000 won per 3 months, or 145,800 won per 12 months.
Indonesian PlayStation Plus Subscription Costs Adjusted
Gamers in Indonesia will also see changes to their PlayStation Plus subscription fees. The new prices are:
- PlayStation Plus Essential: Rp126,000 per month, Rp331,000 per 3 months, or Rp1,010,000 per year.
- PlayStation Plus Extra: Rp189,000 per month, Rp536,000 per 3 months, or Rp1,710,000 per year.
- PlayStation Plus Deluxe: Rp221,000 per month,Rp632,000 per 3 months,or Rp1,990,000 per year.
The price adjustments reflect Sony’s ongoing strategy for its PlayStation Plus service in various global markets. The reasons behind these specific regional increases were not disclosed.
