PSG Faces Injury Concerns Ahead of Lens Match
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique may be forced to field a depleted squad this weekend due to a series of injuries.The situation is compounded by issues arising during the recent international break.
Key Players Sidelined
PSG will be without Deiver Machado, who suffered an injury wiht Racing before the international matches, and will be sidelined for approximately six weeks. More concerningly, attackers Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué both returned injured from international duty with France.
Dembélé sustained a thigh injury, while Doué is suffering from a calf problem. Both players are expected to miss at least the next four weeks of competition, including the upcoming match against Racing on Sunday.
Further Concerns and potential Rest
Fabian Ruiz was released from the Spanish national team due to muscle pain, according to multiple Parisian sources. Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi also experienced discomfort last week and did not participate in his nationS second match against Zambia.
Additionally, Marquinhos and Pacho are expected to return late from international duty in South America and may be rested, given PSG’s upcoming champions League fixture against Atalanta just three days after the Lens match.
