PTI’s Long-Awaited Breakthrough: Islamabad Rally Brings a Glimmer of Hope

Islamabad Administration Grants NOC to PTI for Rally
The capital district administration Islamabad has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally.
Rally Details and Guidelines
The meeting will be held in the open field of GT Road Sangjani. People coming from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are advised to use the expressway, while residents of Islamabad should use New Margalla Road.
The rally will start at 4 pm and end at 7 pm. There will be no business or strike block during the Jalsa.
The organizers will be responsible for making their own internal security arrangements. Participants are expected to remain within the designated meeting area, and the managers of the meeting will be held accountable for any breach of conditions.
Route Guidelines
- Residents of Islamabad: Use New Margalla Road for the meeting.
- People coming from Rawalpindi: Use Dhamyal Road and Gurja Road.
- People coming from Murree: Use Shahpur Road to Khanna Bridge.
Security and Fundamental Rights
The protection of the fundamental rights of citizens will be ensured during the rally. The rally will be allowed, but sitting in is not permitted. The permission is only for September 8, and the organizers must ensure that workers return on the same night.
Speeches or slogans based on anti-state or religious hatred will not be allowed.
PTI Core Committee Meeting
In the PTI core committee meeting on August 30, 2024, it was decided to hold a meeting in Islamabad on September 8.
PTI had decided to postpone the September 15 meeting in Lahore due to Eid Milad-ul-Nabi and fixed a new date on September 22.
The core committee was briefed on the PTI founder’s legal cases and was informed that bail hearings will be held on 12 cases next week.
The core committee expressed concern over the situation in Balochistan, stating that the government is not managing the situation seriously.
The behavior of the prison administration towards the founding PTI was strongly condemned.
