Pukkelpop sells combit tickets to record tempo, also sold out on Friday

Good luck, babe!Those who still want a combo ticket for Pukkelpop are out of luck. Never before have the festival tickets sold out so quickly: Last year Pukkelpop also noted a record by selling the combi’s at just 48 hours. Now the festival did that at less than five hours. This year’s first Belgian performance by pop-star Chappell Roan, next to other big names, such as the recently acquitted rapper A$AP Rocky and Queens of the Stone Age. The wildly popular Dutchman Joost is also dropping to Limburg for the fourth time.

However, the ticket sales did not start without a few hiccups. On Saturday, it was announced on Instagram by Pukkelpop, that they encountered a few technical difficulties, which and caused ticket buyers some problems with the payment — some received an error message, although the money had already gone.

We came in contact with a few technical malfunctions, says Pukkelpop on Instagram.

Around 2:30 p.m. the organization posted on Instagram that everything was working “fine” and that 90 percent of the combo tickets have already been sold. Less than 30 minutes later, the last 10 percent were out the door. Three hours later, Pukkelpop announced another message: All day tickets for Friday, including those for Chappell Roan, Oscar & the Wolf and Pommelien Thijs, are also sold. There are still tickets available for Saturday and Sunday, with a lineup that includes A$AP Rocky, Idles, Joost, Queens of the Stone Age, Dad Roach and Justice.

What the Ticket Sales Mean

A combo ticket for Pukkelpop costs $300.00 (excluding service costs). That is $30.00 less than the competitor Rock Werchter, for which combo tickets are still available. Both festivals last 4 days, although the first day of Pukkelpop does not yet take place on the entire site. Only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, does the festival run at full speed during August 15 and 16.

In the interest of South African readers, the price cancels out, “Rock Werchter,” also receiving nearly 20,000 more people a day: around 66,000 people walk around on the Pukkelpop field meadow, while that of Werchter can rise to 88,000 as the Dutch counterparts continue to thin out, enjoying the festival to its forecasted potential.
