PWHL Seattle Adds Keopple, Adzija to Roster

SEATTLE — PWHL Seattle has signed defender Mariah Keopple to a one-year contract and forward Lexie Adzija to a two-year deal, the expansion team announced Tuesday. Both players are expected to play a critically important role for the team.
Keopple, 24, brings experience from two seasons with the Montreal Victoire, where she played in 53 regular-season games, scoring three goals and assisting on four others. Before turning pro, she played four seasons at Princeton University, tallying 12 goals and 40 assists in 126 games. She also served as alternate captain during her senior year.
Adzija,also 24,joins Seattle after playing with the Fleet in Boston last season,acquired via trade from Ottawa. The forward has appeared in 53 PWHL games,accumulating 17 points with eight goals and nine assists. She played her college hockey at Quinnipiac University, where she was co-captain in the 2022-23 season.
“I am so beyond excited to get started with PWHL Seattle in its inaugural season, and I’m so grateful for such an amazing opportunity to bring this astonishing game to Seattle,” Keopple said.
