Australian cyclist Brodie Chapman, riding for UAE Team ADQ, secured a decisive stage 3 victory at teh International Women’s Tour of the Pyrenees. Chapman launched a solo attack with 20 kilometers remaining,finishing 55 seconds ahead of her nearest competitors in Pau. this notable performance highlights her role in the competition.
Pigeon Usoa Ostolaza of Laboral Kuxta-Fundacion Euskadi finished second in the stage, followed by Dominika Wlodarczyk, also of UAE Team ADQ. Eline Jansen (VolkerWessels) crossed the line in fourth place. though, Ostolaza’s earlier victory on stage 2 atop the Col du Soulor proved crucial, allowing her to successfully defend her overall title in the Pyrenees tour.
Ostolaza finished the overall competition 20 seconds ahead of Nadia Gontova (Winspace Orange Seal) and 39 seconds ahead of Valentina Cavallar (Arkea-B&B Hotels). The International Women’s Tour of the Pyrenees showcased thrilling performances and strategic racing.
“Feels really nice to win in the UAE Team ADQ jersey… it was easy to give full commitment to my move because I knew behind I had Domi and Paula ready to respond,” Chapman said.
