Fabio Quartararo Eyes MotoGP Rebound at Assen
Updated June 26,2025
Fabio Quartararo is optimistic about his chances at the MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix in Assen this weekend.
The Yamaha rider believes he can “fight at the front” after recent struggles in aragon and Italy.
Quartararo, 26, secured pole position in three consecutive European races earlier this season. However, he
faced challenges in the latest rounds. He anticipates a return to form in the Netherlands, aiming to capitalize
on his qualifying potential from previous races in Spain, France, and Britain.

“I think this is one of the only weekends where I can say on Thursday that if the weather is pretty good we can
make a pretty good result this weekend and be really competitive in every single session,” Quartararo said. “So
yeah, I’m looking forward to this weekend.” His best race result this season was second place at the Spanish
Grand Prix.
Quartararo identified four factors that negatively impacted his bike’s performance at the Italian Grand prix in
Mugello: long straights, high temperatures, low surface grip, and tire degradation. He noted that Assen
typically lacks these conditions, featuring no meaningful straight, cooler temperatures, high grip, and minimal
tire wear. Forecasts suggest temperatures will remain below 86 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend.
The 2021 Dutch Grand Prix winner believes these conditions provide a “great chance” this weekend. He
added that he is no longer experiencing pain from the shoulder dislocation he sustained in Italy.
Meanwhile, Alex Rins, Quartararo’s teammate, dismissed rumors of lingering injuries, stating he is “at 100%
and I do not have any issues riding the bike.”
What’s next
Quartararo aims to leverage the favorable conditions at Assen to secure a strong finish, potentially contending
for a podium or top-five position in the MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix.
