Queen Camilla attended Easter Sunday services on April 5, 2026, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Alongside King Charles, the Queen led the royal family to the service, wearing a bright red wool crepe dress by Fiona Clare and a matching hat by Philip Treacy.
The focal point of the Queen’s ensemble was a historic cross-shaped diamond and topaz brooch, identified by Town & Country as the Raspberry Pip Brooch. The piece is pinned to her dress and is complemented by a black calfskin leather tote from Dior.
The History of the Raspberry Pip Brooch
The Raspberry Pip Brooch has a provenance dating back to 1881. It was originally presented as a wedding gift to Cecilia Nina Bowes-Lyon, the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne.
The jewel eventually entered the Royal Collection via the Queen Mother, who subsequently passed the piece to Queen Elizabeth. According to the Crown Chronicles, the name of the brooch may have been inspired by its specific shape, which some observers have compared to the delicate structure of a raspberry seed.
Queen Camilla has worn this specific piece on several previous public occasions. She was first seen wearing it on December 25, 2023. Other notable appearances include a visit to Canterbury in 2025 and an appearance at Royal Ascot in 2025.
Recent Jewelry Debuts and Royal Occasions
The Easter appearance follows another high-profile jewelry debut during the Holy Week services. On April 2, 2026, for the Maundy Thursday services, Queen Camilla wore a sapphire and diamond brooch designed in the shape of a crown.

The Maundy Thursday service was held at St. Asaph Cathedral in North Wales. This marked the first time in the 800-year history of the service that it took place in North Wales and only the second time it has been held anywhere in Wales, with the previous occurrence being in 1982 at St. David’s in Pembrokeshire.
For that occasion, the Queen paired the crown-shaped brooch with a navy pleated dress and matching embroidered coat by Christian Dior, as well as a hat by Philip Treacy. Media reports have speculated that the sapphire and diamond piece may have been a gift from King Charles to commemorate their 21st wedding anniversary in April 2026.
Maundy Thursday Traditions
During the April 2 service, King Charles continued the tradition of distributing Maundy Money to members of the local community. The number of recipients is determined by the monarch’s age; at age 77, the King presented gifts to 77 men and 77 women.
Recipients received two purses: a white purse containing specially minted silver Maundy coins and a red purse containing two commemorative coins. The 2026 commemorative coins celebrate 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth and the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust, founded by Charles.
The royal couple arrived at the St. George’s Chapel for the Easter Sunday service in the Bentley State Limousine.
