Queen Camilla’s Health Update
Queen Camilla is currently unwell with a chest infection, as announced by Buckingham Palace. Her doctors have advised her to rest for a short period, which has led to her withdrawal from several royal engagements this week.
Originally, Camilla had planned to attend the Field of Remembrance event at Westminster Abbey and possibly the Remembrance Sunday events. However, due to her ongoing recovery, she will miss these events. Instead, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, attended the Field of Remembrance event in her place[2].
Following doctors’ guidance, Camilla will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events. She will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week[2][3].
Buckingham Palace has stated, "Following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events. While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week"[3].
