The exhibition coincides with the 170th anniversary of official diplomatic ties between France and Thailand. According to reporting from WWD, the exhibit highlights a dialogue of mutual admiration and creative exchanges
between the two nations, a relationship that historically extends back to the courts of King Narai of Siam and Louis XIV.
The display focuses on how Queen Sirikit utilized art, attire, and craft to develop a cultural and diplomatic language. The exhibit is designed to illustrate the Queen Mother’s role in weaving shared creative threads between the Asian kingdom and France.
Spanning 7,500 square feet, the exhibition features nearly 200 items. The collection includes a diverse array of textiles, objects, photographs, accessories, and garments.
