R. Baciuska Wins Again: Lithuanian Rally Championship First Place
Competitors covered 882 kilometers on Thursday, but teh timed stage was only 346 kilometers long.
Gravel roads made up 83 percent of the course, with the remaining portion consisting of rocks and sand.
These conditions allowed drivers to push for maximum speed, but dangers remained.
Lithuanian racers avoided major trouble, and Rokas Baciuška again stood out.
Competing in the “Stock” car class, baciuška dominated the stage and extended his lead in the overall standings.
Vaidotas Žala also had a good day. He finished second on the stage, but maintained his first-place position in the truck class, as he trailed A. Loprais by only a few minutes.
In the motorcycle (“Rally 2”) class, Nerimantas Jucius and Dovydas karka posted similar times.The Lithuanians finished 14 minutes and 20 seconds behind the leader, taking 11th and 12th place.
