The family believes Savage is alive and hopes she is healthy,expressing a strong desire to hear from her directly.
The Savage family addressed R. kelly’s legal situation, stating that he has never taken accountability for his actions. They believe his conviction was justified and that he should serve his entire 31-year sentance.
In 2021,R. kelly was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking in a New York federal court.The following year,he received additional guilty verdicts in Illinois for child pornography and enticing minors for sex.
Beau Brindley, a representative for R. Kelly’s legal team, said they are currently unwilling to discuss Joycelyn Savage, prioritizing the singer’s situation. Brindley indicated they may address her case at a later time.
