Proven Expertise: Sridhar’s Background
Sridhar brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the senior fielding coach for the India men’s team from 2014 to 2021. Prior to his official appointment, he conducted a 10-day fielding program for Sri Lanka’s top teams in Colombo in May of last year, demonstrating a proactive engagement with the team’s development.
Sridhar emphasized his coaching philosophy, stating his intention to ”nurture an environment where athleticism, awareness, and pride in the field can grow naturally,” rather than imposing a rigid system. He believes Sri Lanka’s inherent strengths – quick reflexes, agile hands, and fearless approach – can be further refined through realistic, game-like training scenarios.
