Rachel Boston, a Hallmark actress, celebrated Christmas early this year for her daughter, Grace, who is two years old. Boston usually appears in Hallmark holiday movies and decided to decorate for the holiday in October to delight Grace.
Grace, who Boston shares with chef Tolya Ashe, frequently visits her mother’s film sets. This year, she joined Boston while filming Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle and participated in Hallmark’s October Jingle Stop Tour.
Boston noted that spending time in a festive environment made Grace eager to start Christmas early. “She thinks Christmas is year-round,” Boston said. After attending the Jingle Stop Tour in D.C., Grace insisted on putting up their Christmas tree right away.
Boston humorously mentioned that if Grace continues to want early Christmas celebrations, it could turn into a new family tradition. She enjoys including Grace in the decorating process, allowing her to help adorn the tree, which Boston finds special.
Grace has been selecting ornaments on outings, and Boston plans to engage her in crafting holiday decorations together. Currently, they are making hand turkeys for Thanksgiving.
Given Boston’s career in Hallmark holiday films, it’s understandable that Grace has a strong holiday spirit. Boston is more than happy to embrace a longer festive season if it makes her daughter happy. “We’re going to do year-round Christmas, and she’ll just think that’s how people do it,” Boston joked.
Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle airs Thursday, Nov. 28, at 8:00 p.m. EST on the Hallmark Channel.
